Groups with countably many subgroups
We describe soluble groups in which the set of all subgroups is countable and show that locally (soluble-byfinite) groups with this property are soluble-by-finite. Further, we construct a nilpotent group with uncountably many subgroups in which the set of all abelian subgroups is countable.

It is shown that for every Turing degree d there is an ω-categorical group G such that the isomorphism type of G is of degree d. We also find an ω-categorical group G such that the isomorphism type of G has no degree.
متن کاملAutomorphism Groups of Countably Categorical Linear Orders are Extremely Amenable
We show that the automorphism groups of countably categorical linear orders are extremely amenable. Using methods of Kechris, Pestov, and Todorcevic, we use this fact to derive a structural Ramsey theorem for certain families of finite ordered structures with finitely many partial equivalence relations with convex classes.
